The Sagrada Familia is one of the most emblematic works of Barcelona, designed by Antoni Gaudí.
Facades: The church has three impressive facades: the Nativity facade, the Passion facade and the Glory facade. Each has a unique style, full of symbolic details related to the life of Jesus.
Interior: The interior is like a forest of columns that rise and branch, creating a surreal atmosphere. The columns mimic natural shapes, giving a feeling of being surrounded by a tree. In addition, light enters through colored windows that generate a magical and changing atmosphere throughout the day.
Apse and Main Altar: The main altar is framed by an impressive architectural design that directs the attention towards the central cross. From this point, one has a view of the majesty of the place.
Towers: The towers, which are being completed, offer a spectacular panoramic view of Barcelona. The tallest are dedicated to the 12 apostles, the Virgin Mary and Jesus.
Museum: Inside the Sagrada Familia you can also explore a museum that displays Gaudí’s original plans, models and models that allow you to understand his vision and the challenges of building this unique church.
In short, the visit is a fascinating experience that is not only an immersion in modernist architecture, but also a lesson in Gaudí’s life and work, all in a breathtaking setting.
